These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by Kim's Computer ("we," "us," or "our"), including repair services, IT support, and any communications through our website at kimscomputer.com. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Kim's Computer provides computer and device repair, data recovery, cybersecurity, IT support, and related services. All services are subject to these Terms and any service-specific agreements provided at the time of service.
2. Service Estimates and Authorization
- Diagnostic fees may apply and will be disclosed before work begins.
- We will provide an estimate before proceeding with any repair. Work begins only upon your approval.
- Estimates are not guaranteed final prices; unforeseen issues discovered during repair may require additional authorization.
3. Payment
- Payment is due upon completion of service or as otherwise agreed.
- We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other methods as displayed at the time of service.
- Devices not picked up within 30 days of service completion may be subject to storage fees or disposal in accordance with applicable law.
4. Data and Backup
- You are responsible for backing up your own data before submitting a device for service.
- Kim's Computer is not responsible for data loss that occurs during the course of repair, even if data loss is an unexpected outcome.
- We will exercise reasonable care, but cannot guarantee data recovery in all cases.
5. Warranty
- Labor performed by Kim's Computer carries a 90-day warranty against defects in workmanship.
- Parts installed may carry a separate manufacturer warranty.
- Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, liquid damage, or third-party modifications after service.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kim's Computer's total liability for any claim arising from services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. SMS Communications
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Kim's Computer regarding your service (e.g., appointment confirmations, status updates, pickup notifications).
- Message frequency depends on your service activity.
- Standard message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.
- We do not use your phone number for unsolicited marketing.
8. Unclaimed Devices
Devices left at Kim's Computer without pickup for more than 30 days after notification of completion may be subject to a daily storage fee. Devices abandoned for 90 days or more may be disposed of or sold to recover costs, in compliance with California state law.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on kimscomputer.com, including text, images, and logos, is the property of Kim's Computer and may not be used without written permission.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance.
